About This Site
I created this site because I don’t like social media and didn’t want to keep up with another account that requires either people to endlessly scroll through to find what they were looking for, or me to subjected to a stupid algorithm, when a website would better help people.
I had started an Instagram account to “document” our homeschooling journey but I never posted anything to it. In fact, as the years went by, I found that I increasingly disliked sharing anything on either my private or public social media accounts, and I was rarely using them to keep up with anyone. Then one day, after Lent in 2024, I decided to start backing off social media until I stopped using it for good a few months later.
This site is my response to my disrespect for social media.
As a longtime blogger, homemaker, and now homeschooler, I aim to help parents find the information they need for homeschooling bilingual-style in a monolingual world via more long-form content that’s focused on addressing the questions you may have (because we had them, too) instead of “reels” and pointlessly short pieces of content that are only looking to be shared and become viral without really passing on anything of substance.
About Our Family
We’re an unapologetically Catholic, Conservative, and bilingual family, so that’s the perspective of the content you’ll see on this site. Wokeness has no place here.
You’ll also never see our kids on this website. Because my husband and I really value their privacy and safety, they’ve never had their picture(s) posted online. We don’t use any social media ourselves, either.
Have a great day!
